I practice Okazaki Restorative Massage, which is an oriental technique based in Chinese medicine. It is a deep massage with several pressure points using the forearm and elbow in a rocking motion. It is a rejuvinating massage, intended to restore the normal chi flow in the body. It follows the meridians of the body and uses key accupressure points on those meridians. It is only taught by black belts in Jujitsu and was developed by a Jujitsu master to restore the body of students after a hard workout. It follows a set Kata of steps to insure balance and chi flow are restored. Master Okazaki was a famous healer and worked on George Burns, President Roosevelt and olympic athletes of the day. Lomi Lomi massage
Lomi Lomi is the traditional Hawaiian massage performed by Kahunas, (wise ones) in Hawaii. Lomi Lomi is a body of knowledge in tune with nature and our bodies natural rythmns. Lomi Lomi uses the native plants, sea salt,water, and spirit to restore balance for each individuals needs. Lomi Lomi is full of love for the body. Each session starts with the calling in of anscestors, kahunas and spirit guides through traditional chants sang by the kahuna. The "uke" or client, then steams in a suana to prepare for the massage. The massage uses long forearm strokes as well as specific techniques for problem areas such as TMJ, carpel tunnel syndrome, sciatic nerve impingement etc.. Please allow 90 minutes to two hours for this treatment.
